What you get, for free
Not a crippled demo: the full toolkit, on two surfaces.
Two ice surfaces
Full ice and half ice. Enough for the large majority of what you prepare over a season.
Your players, by position
Forwards, defence, goalies — with the labels your staff already uses: C, LW, RW, D1, D2, G. Four symbol shapes to tell your groups apart.
The routes that matter
Skating, passing and shooting lines. A drill is understood at a glance or it isn't understood at all.
Cones, pucks, nets
All the gear you put on the ice, dropped in with a click.
Zones and notes
Box off a zone, add a word. It's often the written note that makes the drill click for your assistant.
PNG and PDF export
Download your diagram and print it, or send it to your staff. Export is free too.
How it works
- 1
Pick your surface
Full ice for a team drill, half ice for a station. The rink markings are already drawn.
- 2
Place your players
Pick a shape and a label, then drop the symbols where they start. Copy, paste and mirror if your drill is symmetrical.
- 3
Draw the movement
Skate, pass, shot: each route has its own line. Add zones and text wherever it makes things clearer.
- 4
Export
PNG to drop in the team chat, PDF to print and keep in your pocket at the bench.
A drawn drill saves you 90 seconds on the ice.
You know the moment: the kids are leaning on their sticks, you're explaining at the whiteboard, and you can see half of them have stopped following. Ice time is expensive, and it's going into explanations.
A clear diagram fixes that. Players see where they start and where they go. You say three sentences and run the drill.
There's also what you gain before practice. A drill you've drawn is a drill you've thought through: how many players, which zone, what sequence. Preparation is half the work.
And the next day, you still understand your own drawing — which isn't always true of a pencil sketch on the corner of a page.

What the free mode doesn't do
We'd rather tell you up front than let you find out mid-drill. Three things need an account:
- Your drawings aren't saved. Export before you close the tab, or you start over.
- Animated sequences. Showing the movement step by step is for members.
- Eleven more surfaces: zones, goalie zone, neutral zone, and the 2, 3, 4 and 6-station templates.
Frequently asked questions
- Is it really free?
- Yes. The designer opens with no account, no credit card and no time limit. You can draw and export to PNG or PDF as often as you like. What needs a subscription is saving your drawings, animating drills and the eleven other ice surfaces.
- Do I need to install anything?
- No. Everything runs in your browser. Use a computer or a tablet: drawing a drill on a phone screen is too cramped to be pleasant.
- Can I print my drills?
- Yes. The PDF button gives you a print-ready file for your binder or the bench. The PNG button gives you an image, handy for dropping into a team chat.
- Are my drawings kept if I come back later?
- No, not in free mode — that's the main limitation. Export your diagram before closing the tab. Saving your drill library is part of the Pro plan.
- Which age groups is it for?
- All of them. The tool doesn't impose anything: you draw what you want to teach, from U7 to U17+. You're the one who knows what suits your players.
- What if I'd rather start from an existing drill than a blank rink?
- That's what the full version does: 500+ drills sorted by level and theme, which you open in the Designer and adapt to your team. The 7-day free trial gives you the whole library.
The rink is waiting. Go draw.
No sign-up, no email to hand over. You open it and you work.
